We are Dan Mills!

At Dan Mills Elementary, our teachers are known for their commitment to the students and for maintaining a high level of student achievement and parent communication.

We're a STEM school, meaning we place a focus on Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics through well-rounded daily course work. Every day, our Pre-K through 5th graders learn about reading, English and language arts, writing, mathematics, science and social studies. Related arts classes occur daily and include music, art, STEAM and physical education. Once a week, all students participate in a library class, where they may enjoy reading or learning more about the world of reading.

We practice blended learning, meaning students receive a mix of traditional classroom instruction as well as digitally delivered course work. This helps prepare our students for middle school, high school and college courses that are taught in the same way. Additionally, students have access to 26 student computers in our lab and six laptop carts.

Every year, we anticipate two exciting school-wide events: Dragon Jubilee in the fall and Spring Fling. During Dragon Jubilee, every teacher provides carnival-like activities in their rooms. The highlight of the year is during Spring Fling, when students create and perform their musical numbers. Spring Fling also includes a silent auction, with items donated by local businesses as well as many handmade items created by our talented parents and teachers.

We have a very active Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) that helps with fundraising, volunteering and participating as classroom helpers. They are an integral part of our school community, adding to our family-oriented environment, which helps keep our students actively engaged and excited about attending school.
